How To Make A Pallet Patio Chair

Building a pallet patio chair is an easy and fun project. Once you have gathered the materials, you can complete this project in a weekend. This article will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to make an attractive and comfortable pallet patio chair.

Materials you'll need:

Two pallets

Two 2x4s, cut to 48 inches long

Two 2x4s, cut to 24 inches long

Four 2x4s, cut to 30 inches long

Wood screws (2-inch and 3-inch)

Outdoor fabric

Foam cushions

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the pallets

Start by removing any nails or screws from the pallets. If necessary, sand the pallets to smooth out any rough edges.

Step 2: Assemble the back

Lay one of the pallets flat on the ground. Position the two 48-inch 2x4s vertically at the ends of the pallet and secure them with 3-inch wood screws. Center the two 24-inch 2x4s between the vertical pieces and screw them into place.

Step 3: Assemble the seat

Place the second pallet upside down on the ground. Position the four 30-inch 2x4s perpendicular to the pallet and space them evenly apart. Secure them with 2-inch wood screws.

Step 4: Attach the seat to the back of the pallet

Stand the back of the chair up and align it with the front edge of the seat. Use 3-inch wood screws to attach the seat to the back.
